Sara' l'eta' o forse lo stress da prepensionamento, ma la sparata del Vescovo cattolico di Breda, Tiny Muskens, ha dell'incredibile. "Allah è una parola molto bella per 'Dio'. Non dovremmo, d'ora in poi, chiamarLo 'Allah'? A Dio non interessa come Lo si chiami" ha affermato il prelato olandese durante una trasmissione televisiva.
A supporto della sua stravagante proposta, il Vescovo ha ricordato i suoi anni trascorsi in Indonesia, dove nelle chiese cattoliche Dio viene appunto chiamato Allah.
Ma essendo Breda ancora parte di quella monarchia parlamentare chiamata Olanda, dove la lingua ufficiale, fino a prova contraria, e' l'olandese e non l'arabo: non sarebbe piu' corretto chiamare Allah, olandescamente parlando, 'God'?

It might be his age or some manifestation of preretirement stress, but the words of the Catholic Bishop of Breda, Holland, Tiny Musken, are hard to believe. “Allah is a very beautiful word for God. Shouldn’t we all say that from now on we will call God Allah? God doesn’t care what we call Him”. So asserted the Dutch prelate during a recent television program.
To support his outlandish proposal, the Bishop recalled his years serving in Indonesia where Catholic churches referred to God as "Allah".
However, as Breda remains (until further notice) part of the parliamentary democracy known as Holland, whose official language remains (until further notice) Dutch and not Arabic, wouldn’t it be more correct, using the Bishop's example, to refer to "Allah" as “God” in Holland?
